Falkland House School in Perth specialises in the education and care of girls and boys who require additional support for learning such as Autism Spectrum Condition and/or social, emotional and mental health needs. We opened in 2022 and offer both education and care to girls and boys from age 12 with additional support needs.
We have a well-established reputation for excellence in the quality of our service provision and for achieving positive educational and socially inclusive outcomes. We intend that our pupils should be happy and fulfilled through involvement in rewarding learning experiences, within an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and goodwill.
We provide special integrated education to boys and girls from our new site with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Tourette’s syndrome (Ts) as well as a number of other conditions which makes it difficult for them to cope in a mainstream educational environment. We create a calming and nurturing environment for our children and young people to access a curriculum as they would in a mainstream school.
They may find it difficult to cope in a mainstream educational environment and their difficulties might also impact on interpersonal relationships in other aspects of their lives, particularly with their peer group and at home.
We cater for as many circumstances as possible and take children from all regions in Scotland and the rest of the UK. They are accepted through referral by a local authority or from parents finding out about the school and contacting us directly.
We offer day and residential (39- and 52-week) placements. Fees are paid by local authorities.
