Set in the foothills of Kinnoull Hill, Falkland House School in Perth specialises in the education and care of girls and boys who require additional support for learning such as Autism Spectrum Condition and/or social, emotional and mental health needs. We opened in 2023 and offer education and care to both girls and boys from age 12 with additional support needs.
We have a well-established reputation for excellence in the quality of our service provision and for achieving positive educational and socially inclusive outcomes. We intend that our pupils should be happy and fulfilled through involvement in rewarding learning experiences, within an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and goodwill.
We provide specialist integrated education to girls and boys with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Tourette’s syndrome (Ts) as well as several other conditions which make it difficult for them to cope in a mainstream educational environment. Falkland House School Perth provides a calming and nurturing environment for our young people so they can access the curriculum as they would in a mainstream school.
Many of our young people find it difficult to cope in a mainstream educational environment, and their difficulties may have also previously impacted on interpersonal relationships in other aspects of their lives, particularly with their peer group and at home. Our nurturing and inclusive environment supports young people to develop their social communication skills, build positive relationships and improve their wellbeing.
We support children from all Local Authorities across Scotland, as well as the rest of the UK, and offer a combination of day and residential (39- and 52-week) placements with fees paid by local authorities.
