Falkland House School Perth receives ‘Good’ inspection from the Care Inspectorate

21st June 2024

Our first ever inspection from the Care Inspectorate rates us as ‘Good’

After opening our doors in 2023, Falkland House School Perth received its first inspection from the Care Inspectorate in May 2024. We are delighted to announce that they rated us as ‘Good’!

The inspection was carried out over two days in mid-May and included inspectors speaking to staff, young people, parents, and visiting professionals, as well as observing practice within the daily life of the school.

The report commented on the tailored care and support our young people receive and improved outcomes, in addition to the improved school attendance, increase in independence skills and positive relationships our young people made while at the school.

Our programme of outdoor learning also received excellent feedback, along with the range of learning opportunities available to our young people including college courses, volunteering and work experience.

The team were really pleased with the outcome of the report, highlighting one comment from the Care Inspectorate as being particularly pleasing.

“Young people had made a conscious choice to live at the school as they felt this supported access to further education in the future…and young people spoke passionately about their interests and how these enabled them to lead a more independent lifestyle.”

A huge thank you to all of our young people, parents and staff who took part in the inspection, we are so proud!
