New Pupils

All young people attending Falkland House School Perth – whether day or residential/boarding pupils – play a full part in the life of the school and are encouraged to take part in all activities.

Enrolment & Transition

Once a young person’s place is confirmed at the school, our Senior Leadership Team will be in touch with parents/carers to discuss a child-centred transition plan. This plan will identify the key team around the young person who will support them through their transition into the school, and on an ongoing basis. We will discuss and organise a young person’s start date, accommodation (if required), class and timetable, areas of interest, hobbies, medical needs, mealtimes & dietary requirements, transport, and any other requirements/adaptations.

Pupils who join Falkland House School Perth have often had a negative experience within education, or have been out of education for some time, therefore a robust and person-centred transition plan which considers these factors is hugely important. Our team will always work with students and their families to create a transition plan that works for you.

“

One thing that is remarkable is how quickly my initially resistant son settled. The staff were amazing as they worked with him to settle into residential life. My son remarks on how the school helps his significant anxiety…and as a family we are seeing the benefits of as we receive a happier more relaxed young person at the weekends.
